I wrote the lyrics to this song the day Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was sentenced to death for the Boston marathon bombing. I spent the day in Boston traffic listening to folks call in to NPR in reaction to his sentence. Those raw comments, and the raw comments expressed in the Boston Globe the next day, inspired these verses.
